Change

A Poem by BeautifulDisaster

The cold emptiness is now filled with liveliness
The tears I once cried are now adust
The hatred that took over me has vanished like a ghost
The anguish I felt is now starting to evanesce

I now see the light burning through the furious dark
I am no longer blinded by the black that entered my eyes
I can now feel the warmth of the sun instead of the numbness of the cold
I can now hear encouraging words instead of the screaming voices that took over

My thoughts are no longer toxic, but they are pure
My soul is cleansed of the torturing poison that seeped into it
Rather than begging for my life to end, I beg for immortality
I repent all the days I spent tormenting myself, when I could have savored them
