an inarticulated bridge

an inarticulated bridge

A Poem by brittniefuller

an inarticulated bridge

the apparition of these headlights
on a flat road;

an arm, outstretched
flexing onto

a butterfly so concrete,
its last fluttering

a sound made in the distance
mistaken for a heartbeat.

Meant for images and I see them. And here the fluttering. Nicely done.

the striking thing about this piece is the briefness of it makes for all the depth... as if the more laconic the verses are, the more I felt I can dive in with my thoughts ...
good job :)
