Broken

 

Thoughts that captivate your mind.

In an ageless skylight.

Painful memories.

Like a storm.

Rolling about.

Surging through, not wanted but always there.

In a graceful flood.

Sad memories.

Like the waves.

Carrying time in its hands.

“swoosh swoosh” you hear, as it pulses over your head.

Reminding you of times you’d rather forget.

Nevertheless, ever so gently pushing you to the edge.

Heartbeat in your ears as you try to forget, to put the thoughts aside.

Just a little peace tonight.

As blood runs down your arms you wonder what life would be like.

If you never were.

You hear thunder.

Rain pouring down all around.

No one really knows.

The pain you feel inside.

For a moment in time.

Dancing in the rain.

Drops like chrystals .

Cutting through the pain.
