Walk a Mile

Get up, get dressed. Leave the house 1 hour and 15 minutes before work
starts.
Walk 3 blocks to Starbucks to flirt with the cute girl that works there.
Be sad that she's not there, but then happy because you run into a friend
you haven't seen in a while and stand there talking for 10 minutes.
Walk 1 block to the bus stop. Wait 15 minutes for the bus while have a
conversation about the existentials of bus scheduling with the girl waiting
for the bus who just wants someone to talk to.
Stand on the bus for the entire ride downtown because they took out so many
buses from the summer schedule there is never a place to sit anymore.
Get off the bus, walk 2 blocks to the ATM. Walk 1 block to the Farmers
Market to buy breakfast.
Walk 2 blocks to buy bus tokens.
Walk 2 blocks to office building, up escalator, through elevator lobby.
Wait for elevator.
Go up 4 floors, marveling that you cannot just take the stairs.
Walk to your desk, turn on your computer and realize that you are right on
time, and very sweaty.
Then remember you still have to walk home.

Haha, I thought this would be one of those pit-party, 'Try walking a mile in MY shoe's!!!' type stories. I'm glad it's not though. Nice shoes. Hope the blisters heal. =]
