For society

For society

A Poem by bromcdonald
"

Just a poem I wrote from the bottom of my mind

"
Right now, when you listen to me, someone is dying of hunger.
A little kid that lives on a desert where it used to be a jungle.
We are doing only bad for our earth, excuse my honesty
We are not trying to save it, we are ignoring poverty
We look behind us and think history made us do it
What history did was make us redo it
We do what they did before us, with a small exception
We make it seem like it's a different perception
Dear friend, i'm asking you to make your child live safely
Doesn't matter the color, the skin, the religion or the fact that he fights bravely
Schools used to be something great that made us strong
Shakespeare, Newton, Einstein or even Neil Armstrong
They used to be founders, idols or mentors
Now we look up to teachers that represnt just a pretender
They say they want to teach us good useful things
What they do is teach us things that don't make you think
I want to read something that makes me reflect
I want to let people know i'm smart, not deffect-ed
