The girl who loved too much

The girl who loved too much

"

my first place spooky story for Halloween that was out of 33 people in the class

"

I was a normal girl at a certain point in my life. I was different from others because I had blood red eyes and hair as smooth as the sky, but nothing out of the ordinary till I turned 16. My name is Mae, short for Maelyn. I went to high school and home day to day with nothing much besides homework and music and texting my boyfriend, or him coming over every so often. I always did what I was told to do by my parents. I was a perfect student and daughter. It wasn't until my parents died in a car crash the day before I turned sixteen on October 5th. I was a complete wreck after that. I guess something got triggered after that.

I was in counseling because I kept seeing ghost and felt a lot of paranormal activity in my house. The counselor said that I was traumatized and that it was normal for teenage girls with sudden deaths they get kind of bonkers in the head. My boyfriend Max stayed by my side comforting me even though I was left with barely no emotions just thoughts.

He walked me home and we had a conversation outside.

Mae: Max please come inside they think I’ve gone crazy, but I haven't.

Max: I believe you don't worry it doesn't matter what they think it will be alright. I promise.

He hugged me and then kissed my cheek and left me after that. He said not to worry but the thoughts ran through my mind. I heard whispers in the house they kept calling my name.

Ghost: Mae....Mae....Mae...

They kept feeding my mind with unnecessary thoughts that I couldn't help but ponder.

Ghost: Mae...He’s going to leave you. He already knows you've gone mad.

What if what they say is true? Does he really think so? Will he leave me? I don't know what will happen if he thinks so. I sat in the corner of my room, slicing my wrist with a knife with these questions that kept driving me mad.

I pondered for another week or so till it was the final decision of the counselor I be in a room with no one in there but me and my thoughts and that I wasn't let go till the point I was smiling and didn't hear any more ghost. I lied and was set free the date was just a couple weeks later. I looked at the calendar it was Halloween. Max picked me up in his car and he told his parents he would stay with me till midnight so we could catch up on the lost time we missed. We were watching movies on the couch in the living room. I kept hearing voices that were whispered in my ears.

Ghost: He’s going to leave Mae

Ghost #2: Even worse he’s going to break your cold heart

Ghost #1: Mae you have to make a decision

Ghost #3: Choose you have to choose!

I covered my ears and shut my eyes and screamed.

Mae: STOP! NO MORE! PLEASE NO MORE!

The voices vanished and Max grabbed my hands. He looked at me with a concerned face and asked me if I was alright. I smiled and laughed. I stood up and grabbed Max's hands and pulled him up. He was confused and asked me a question.

Max: Mae are you alright?

Mae: I love you Max.

He hugged me and said he loved me back. I walked away into the kitchen. I went back out into the living room and I saw max still standing. I went back over to hug him again. I whispered in his ear.

Mae: Max I love you so much. You can't leave me no matter what alright?

Max looked at me in confusion and just sat quiet. I whispered into his ear again.

Mae: I’m sorry Max.

I sliced his throat and he fell backwards. I sat on his stomach and rubbed his hair.

Mae: I love you Max I couldn't stand the thought of you leaving me next. You see I thought of a way we can always be together.

I rubbed his hair back and smiled at his motionless face. I pressed my knife more into his neck and cut his head off. I lifted his head up to my face.

Mae: You look so lovely tonight Max. I love the way your face glitters in the moonlight.

I looked to the floor where the rest of his body lay. Blood was everywhere on the couch and floor. I couldn't help but smile at the beautiful sight that was in front of me. I sat back on the couch where Max and I were originally sitting. The deep smell of crimson blood made me smile ear to ear. I thought on how much I loved him and put his head in my lap. I stroked his hair and kept whispering to myself.

Mae: I love you so much. I don't know what I would do without you Max. Please never leave me
