Iridescent

Iridescent

A Poem by Ruminating Archaeologist
"

if you'd let me / maybe I'd let myself; / keep on going with this / back and forth

"
if you'd let me
maybe I'd let myself;
keep on going with this
back and forth.

I'll spread my feathers
and maybe you just might greet me,
but I know that this is all a game
and things will stay the same,
yet I'm patiently waiting.

maybe you'd come and meet me
and I'd show you who I am,
but until then
I'll just flap my wings again

Author's Note

Ruminating Archaeologist
it's sort of a lazy kind of rhyme to it...
kinda feels unfinished though. I dunno. whattaya think?
