Him.

Him.

A Poem by C.J.G.
"

Another one of THOSE... but it's real.

"

His eyes were oceans I swam in

His smile was a bright that made me beam

His arms were swing I swung on

His stomach was my coloring book

My fingers traced his every curvature

My lips pressed against neck

Not a kiss, but a slight tease

Leaving a tingle that reached his toes

I love him not for his hair, nor for his eyes

I love him not for his strength, nor for his smile

I love him for how his eyes make my knees weak

I love him for how his strength makes my body melt

I love him for how his voice makes me lose mine

With, his words touch my heart

But without, his words rip it out of me

It’s stored in the pocket of his jacket

Where I feel safe

In only his arms I feel safe

In his hold I feel nothing but pure innocence

As long as his heart is beating with mine

I will never feel alone

I feel like a few lines need some editing because some of them disrupt the flow. An example of which "With, his words touch my heart..." I think this line can be further improved to sound better. Overall, it's a good poem with a nice theme and an engaging tone.

Keep Writing. ^___^

Well done. It takes a lot for me to like the "how your love makes me feel" poem. This one was just right.

I love the pictures you paint with this poem, Cat! I love the imagery of "His stomach was my coloring book" n' I love "I love him for how his voice makes me lose mine"....a very personal, romantic, emotional work! ㋡

Hmmmmmm not sure what to think about this, it needs some revisions in my opinion but keep writing. :)

This is very oddly written. Evey other line seems to have an extra word or is missing one. You use the word 'to' a lot where it doesn't belong, and I'm really not sure why. It's romantic and cheesy - but the good kind of cheesy - I just wish the writing made more grammatical sense.

Very endearing words of like a first love.
Very emotional, and a sense of contentment
as well. This is refreshing, cute.
