Dream(er).

I'm a dreamer; I can't be the only one.

Dreams reveal thoughts from your heart that your mind cannot comprehend.

It’s imagines, feelings, and ideas that are too complex for our humans brains.

They are dangerous.

I’ve never had a dream I don’t remember the next day,

I think.

Does that mean my heart is trying to tell me something?

It’s like your soul is trying to tap into your conscious

And let you know what’s really going on.

Our minds can't be expected to know all. Can they?

I dream dreams of those beautiful eyes.

I dream dreams of that beautiful smile.

I dream dreams of those arms that held me so close.

I had a dream once

Where there were two roads in front of me;

They split down the middle like a zipper.

I stood there barefoot, so in tune with the earth.

I felt as if I could feel what everyone else barefoot was feeling.

I looked up and saw the division.

I stepped left and I felt my heart hurt,

As if the rest of my body was pushing it out of me.

Too much to bear, I stepped back.

I stepped right and my brain started pounded,

As it I had just hit it against some wall.

I stepped back.

What is it trying to tell me? Please just let me know.

I’m battling my own body; tell me what to do.

Heart over mind or mind over my heart.

They say smart people listen to their heads,

And stupid people listen to their heart.

I would much rather be stupid and beaming

Then smart and miserable.

I live in oblivion, and I love it.

This was wonderful. I really liked it. What a dream to have. Sometimes it really is surprising how much metaphor we can pull from our dreams. Well done.

I like this one. Sometimes it really does feel like our inner selves are talking to us through our dreams. But what is being said? I loved the last stanza. Well written.
