Liar

Liar

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

Another poem about heartbreak.

"

I just believed in us
Thought you really loved me
But I can’t believe
What you’ve made me see.
There’s that girl you met
And because of her
You left me behind
As you bit her lure.
I should have seen it coming
I wasn’t like the others before
The others you have loved
Were not left alone, sore.
You forgot about me
And how I was waiting for your answer
You didn’t tell me about her
Until I myself discovered.
At least now you know
That I love you really
Please stay my friend
Forever and truly.

This is the second rhymed poem of yours I've read, they are good but not as great as your free-style writing, where you excel. The more rhyming you write, the easier it comes off; getting the meter and measure soothes out the pieces too and allows them to flow better. Keep practicing and let this style become one of your mastery's too.

Love truly is about forgiveness, acceptance and friendship... sometimes in that exact order!
This is a good poem and I LOVED the ending!

Bravo, on another well written piece!

Again, Thank you for sharing!

So beautiful and bittersweet... A gentle plea for a love to last, even in the midst of heartache... Wish you best with all your dreams of writing. Don't ever give up...

There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
