Scarlet Letter

Scarlet Letter

A Poem by Caitlin Lea

You look
at me
with some
sort of

disgust,
but you
are the pot
calling

the kettle
what she
wishes
she weren't.

You can
be hurt.
You can
be angry.

Betrayal
is real.
But don't
think of me

as that
scarlet
letter,
when you

are as
red
as the evil
day.
