You Made My Heart Bleed

Not my best poem...

The sun shining down,

Water crystal blue,

On the white sand beach,

It’s just me and you.

Wind in our faces,

Seagulls flying high,

This moment seems perfect,

Not a cloud in the sky.

--

You said that you loved me,

And I didn’t have a doubt,

That this would last forever,

Day in, and day out.

--

That one magical moment,

I thought meant that we would be,

Together forever and always,

Just us, you and me.

--

You lean in to kiss me,

We both close our eyes,

Little did I know,

You were full of lies.

--

You really didn’t love me,

It was me you didn’t need,

Knowing how much you didn’t care,

Caused my heart to bleed.
