I need to be home.

I need to be home.

A Poem by Marina

When I sit down and end my day
And restless thoughts trickle away
When I allow myself to feel
I fall apart again

When the mind gathers silence
And I sink, along with the setting sun
When I so desperately seek home
I lose my grip again

When the rush of the daily slows down
And I'm finding the time that I need
When my body and will disagree
I feel helpless again

When you're there and I'm across oceans
And we talk when the hours allow
When I'm fighting the passing of time
I feel alone again

There are no words to describe all the feelings
That run through when the barriers break
There is no distraction, no pacifier
I need to come home at the end of each day.
