Tea-ching

Tea-ching

A Poem by Cameron Berry

under pale blush of a hushed moon
on a tea leaf, a bumpy tongue is twisted
scavenging for slick, silvery light
against dripping waves of amber

caught in a trickling swirl
fleeing the fatally famished
sipping on bitter, medicinal tincture
disposing of disfiguring maladies

a canopy of leaves shelters,
eclipses the playful games of hunter and hunted,
breaks moonbeams, and breaks wills
thief and giver of the luminous source

Very poetic. Words floating at my head. And stay there on forever.

Thanks Martin. I wonder if they'll ever dissipate! Thanks again.
What beautiful words, They remind me of ancient verses - full of distinctly colourful but calm events, meant for the good yet.. displaying a mystical event tween two adversaries in the natural world.
