Bedtime stories

A Poem by Chloe
"

It's just a cute little poem I wrote, but I really enjoyed writing poetry of this sort.... I hope it doesn't sound too cheesy for you!

"
Soft and warm
In your hands
Chapters whirr by
Pages flap and flutter
Finally- you can fly!
Wind from the west
Excitement in the east
Where should you go?
Maybe to Paris
To capture a crook
Or hunt alligators in Australia
The choice is simple- pick a book
Everything you'd ever dreamed of doing
Now, you can do
This magical land
Made seemingly for you
Writers preside
Over the land
Ruling it
With an iron hand
Your life is already done
It's getting late
So you close the book....
HOLD UP! WAIT!
You realize...
Maybe...
You want to read it again!
So you open it up
And adjust the light
You'll be reading
The entire night
Your nocturnal streak
Does not seem to lend
When you once again reach
Forlorn "THE END"
You yawn with a smile
You'll visit a new book
After a while
Snuggled under the covers
Safe in your bed
The entire book (x2)
Has finally been read

I like this poem! I love the words and what the poems about. It is kinda like my poem about Dreams in a way because it says how you can do all these things except yours is limited to what a book says (but you can choose from many books). The only thing I have to construct is that perhaps you should go in deeper to each story. Other then that, fantastic story!
