The day at the carnivalA Poem by Chloe
At the fair
Scent of cotton candy Fills the air Warm shoulder rubs He buys me a balloon A hot color - deep maroon A kiss I place upon his cheek His impish grin Is never meek Sweet like honey Soft like lace A smile spreads across his face His hand interlocks with mine We share a moment So divine Sunset comes The day is done "Goodbye!", says the sun Then we left in his car I fell asleep The drive so far And for days after I still see his pearly whites smiling at me © 2013 ChloeAuthor's Note
