Journal Entry: Day 1: The Wait Begins. Wednesday, June 09, 2010.

A Chapter by Jason Knight
"

The wait for our time begins now. Did I now tell you that I'd wait until the end of the earth, my beloved?

"
I take my piece of paper. My movements, always so controlled, so... Coldly calculated. Though I appear it, this time, I'm not so controlled, for this is about you, and I can't control myself when it comes to you. I'm talking to myself of course, but I am really talking to you. Tonight I just see the scarlet butterflies in your eyes. I did tell you I opened my eyes when I met you, but then, all I saw was you, and I'm too scared to see the world too. My pen is pretty mad at me right now, I'm burning the paper so badly. It's just one day, but I promise I'll make it, it's just one day. I'm not broken, no not at all love, for you make me whole and put me back to pieces. I'm just so overwhelmed by time. I heard this quote in a song once, "The reason why - The Click 5" Listen to it, you'll fall in love with it, as always. It says "Could it be that maybe it's our first mistake, And Baby that's alright. It's crazy how we lost ourselves tonight. There's a reason why they say that we should give it time, But time is not enough, And that's the reason why When you're young you fall in love." It's true though. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time, but if I did, then I would never learn my lesson, right?

I'm playing my guitar, it's crying, but it's really crying for you. Parting is such sweet sorrow, that quote from Romeo and Juliet~ I never used it with you, I should've, but I don't know. My wall is down. Should I put it back up? If you don't come back, I will. No, no you wouldn't want that. Though it will sort of always be up without you. We had a little girl in our little world, called Noelia Marie, her hair was straight and never curled and her eyes were bright as silver pearls. We lived in Ol' Italy, in an island on the sea. :) I promise you that, all that. I should get off here before I get in trouble though, "they" are already on my back as it is. I love you, does that still send butterflies? Those words? I love you. I'm talking to myself, but I'm really talking to you. I picked my poison, it taste sweet, so saccharine. I'm talking to myself, but I'm really talking to you.

This is powerful even though it is really short. Great though.

We can be twisted up and see no good road to be on. I like the internal conversation trying to understand what is going on in his life. The story was strong and you create a very good first chapter.

This was such a powerful write. I loved how you incorporated the lyrics into your journal entry, because music and lyrics have always had a profound effect on me, and I felt like you were able to say so much in something as simple as the song you chose to quote. I can relate so much to the line 'I'm talking to myself, but I'm really talking to you'. I think we've all felt like this before. :)
