Space Before Thunder

Space Before Thunder

A Poem by Carey Lenehan
"

Just a moment of wistfulness on a late winter day...

"

Vacant places, pushed across a rubble sky at speed

Belched snow hard driven against dust from stone

Whittled flakes of spring scurf scuttle by anxious to pass

Tunnelled gusts fling late cold against winter hardened skin

I know the soft and murmurous days approach, and I yearn

Really evokes those cold days when you don't want to go out! Nice poem.
