aphrodite

aphrodite

A Poem by carynolivia

It’s a sad day
when Greece’s most beautiful woman
can’t even enjoy an indulgent bubble bath
without getting lost in the foam--
overwhelmed by a powerful sense of being;
haunted by her very own existence.

It’s a sad day
when Soap & Glory
has the strength
to bring a goddess
to her knees.

The other day someone who liked mythology nearly made me write an ode to Aphrodite, looks like you beat me to it kid!

I love the lines:

overwhelmed by a powerful sense of being;
haunted by her very own existence
