Ice Cream

Ice Cream

A Poem by cassandra violet

As a child

Every Sunday

I would go

Get ice cream

With my father.

I’d feel

Overwhelmed

By the amount

Of options

I had to choose

From.

Should I get

Chocolate?

Vanilla?

Sorbet?

Rocky road?

And so eventually

I’d make my

choice but

then the

second I stepped

from the shop

I’d change my

mind and cry

begging my dad

 to go back.

He would refuse

And so I’d

Have to live

With my decision

And to this day

I cannot

Go into an

Ice cream shop.

~this is an interesting poem~(maybe i am just weird)-but i suppose
of all the decisions that we make in this life-our choice in the
flavor of ice cream we make is by far the most momentous :)

Yes, it's always so hard to choose what flavour to choose from so many flavours! However, I set myself my own favourite then I stop choosing others. This is a absolutly fun poem to read!
