Freefall

Freefall

A Poem by Chris Shaw

merciful raindrops
meadows scorched by summer heat
. embrace their Saviour

. grasses stretch their necks
to shower in freefall rain
. left drenched and refreshed

he multiplied the bread to feed the hungry...this god multiplied the raindrops to feed the land---
the land that was there long before we were...
this scenario can be allegorical as well...we all need that baptism of water to refresh us...to make us live again...when life gets too overwhelming.

I love this brief but beautiful poem Chris. Wonderful imagery- “grasses stretch their necks to shower in freefall rain”. Spiritual, lovely and refreshing.
