Love Marks

Love Marks

A Poem by Cassidy Husted
"

I’ve personally struggled with “Love” or stretch marks after gaining weight! Its been a journey to love them, and I want to uplift anyone who is also struggling with loving those marks.

"
I know you're looking at those marks on your skin
Wishing they'd just go away
You don't want to see them again
But I'm here to tell you,
Those marks are unique
Just like you and me
See how those marks glitter?
Their pattern?
Their shape?
Their color?
No one else has those kind of marks except for you
Don't you see?
Those marks symbolize growth
Those marks signify change
Those marks decorate your body,
To show that you're capable of anything
Your body is a temple
With scars and marks that bring art to the walls
I'm here to tell you,
Those marks show that you have lived
Those marks show that you have overcame
And what a wonderful thing!
