Just Me-My Story

I wrote this one day when I decided some people may as well know me for me.

When I was young,

I was happy,

Carefree,

Never worried about what others thought of me,

Fun and Adventures filled my days,

As I started to get older,

As media and society changed,

My peer started to deteriorate my self-worth,

My confidence and trust,

I trusted a few people,

Who in turn stabbed me in the back,

I did not see their betrayal,

Or the hate in their eyes,

Now I only see hate and disgust in them,

They judge me for being me,

I did not want to be like them,

After a year the hate started,

I started to write,

To express myself through words,

Since then my writing has improved,

I have wrote many poems,

This is number 29,

My depression also increased greatly,

It comes in cycles,

That never ends,

It is like a dark bottomless hole,

I climb out for a short while,

Then fall in again,

Each time falling deeper and deeper,

Each time it gets harder to climb out,

My depression has lead to cutting,

But never the idea of  death,

I may be depressed,

But want a long eventful life,

So far it looks like it will be,

I eat to many sweet foods,

Which has lead me to gain weight,

I have sleeping problems,

Which can either lead to over sleeping,

Or getting little or no sleep,

The old me is hardly holding on,

I still like to have fun,

To go on adventures,

To laugh,

To smile,

I can still be happy,

Writing makes me happy,

As well as reading,

Cats can bring me joy,

I enjoy a calm rainy day,

I love flowers,

Especially roses,

I love milk chocolate,

I am against animal experimentation,

I like to dress in my own unique way,

Even though I get judge for it,

I am an environmentalists,

People have tried to know me,

Now everyone knows,

I am just me.

Self analysis is not a simple thing to do, to open your heart, mind and soul to all the possibilities and then be honest with yourself, this is a powerful dissection of the human condition.
