Abscess/absence

Abscess/absence

A Poem by Beth

Indent,

third eye

witness to

malignancy

white head

cold indifference

underneath

violet tsunami

old pain

sombre catatonia

reckless, clawing

for love

like blood from a stone

constant nerves

pink razor burn

flinch- itch

gnawing touch

masked rage

devil's goosebump

congealed

bubbling, pick!

I touch with dirty hands

for weeks, waiting

for the sign, release

alas!

The crater breaks

the dawn. Bile

torched heat

dissipates.

Now what?
Back to a cave.

Emptiness wraps it's silvery web

it will heal, nothing has happened.

wow! love the use of language .. the creative tension and release when the puss drains is counteracted with ".....nothing has happened" damn ...leaves me stupified and speechless ...vivid dark imagery ..tight powerful lines ..glad i listened to the Cafe' which says you are a writer to watch ;) welcome .. grab a cup of coffee :))))

Careful, love! It'll get infected.
Still, it's hard to resist, innit...
