the boy who loved fire

the boy who loved fire

A Poem by flickering candle

a thousand questions.
first, do you ever look down at your hands and wonder to whom they belong to? Do you look in the mirror and see a body instead of yourself as a person? Do the voices in your head get so loud sometimes you begin to shake? have you ever stared at your human body and felt trapped in a house you never called your own? I see through your soul. there is gasoline in your veins. Your fingers are made of matches. There is art on your tongue and need in your eyes.

Beautifully written poem. It's almost like the character is questioning existence which is an interesting concept.

Yes there is art on your tongue and need in your eyes. We are most different species of earth ever crafted by god. You described the poem nice...

I've felt so similar. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with a dissociative disorder that I truly understood what my issues were; something very similar to this. Great depiction of what's going through your mind! Your writing speaks to meh :)

Wow, what a powerful poem! In this case, a poem is worth a thousand words... I love it!

This is intersting because sometimes... I feel kind of the same, felt trapped in a house I never called my own and yet you don't know where home is...kind of depressing.
A really good poem, it has something we all wonder about. Like sometimes you feel like your body is ''not'' your body or something.
Great poem, its really good
