Somethings Amiss

Somethings Amiss

A Poem by Dante

When the world comes crashing down

You look around but no one is to be found

You try to reach but can’t get a grip

Your minds a mess and you let yourself slip

Giving up you decide to give in

And take a look at the mess you’re in

A fallen angel you’ve become

For what you did cannot be undone

Now with your sainthood gone

Do you see the harm that you’ve done

More harm than good in more ways than one

You’ve stripped their lives of all their fun

Take your trip and let it sit

For a web of lies you did knit

Too much done too far gone for redemption to be granted

As if it was ever even wanted

There on the floor lies a bullet with a kiss

There is a gun at its side with a note that says this

“My dear love I pray you do not miss”
