Dare to Believe

Dare to Believe

A Poem by Carole
"

I wrote this for a friend of mine on the Cafe that is going through a difficult time. To you, my friend.

"

Dare to believe there is a God in heaven above

A God waiting to fill you with His strength and His love

Dare to believe that He's only a prayer away

That He cares about you deeply and yearns to fill you with hope abundant each day

That He's not a million light years and miles away

That He'll answer your beckoned call and not hold you at bay

Dare to believe that He sent His only son to die for you and for me

That His love is more limitless than the sand on the shore & more expansive than the sea

If you were but a single soul on this unfurling earth

He would have died for only you because of your incredible worth

You are a rare and precious pearl worth your weight in pure gold

The sheep herder is bidding you come, calling you into the fold

Can you hear the gentle call and feel the knock upon your heart?

Will you dare to believe, dare to do your part?

He's looking for an open heart that will dare to believe

A heart that will take a chance and dare to receive

Your spirit shines through in this piece especially! The prayer for your friend is powerful because of the truth that it carries. If we dare to look through spiritual eyes instead of physical everything is possible! This is a favorite ~ N

I love this piece...so inspired by God's light and love...like a plea. You'll be blessed for this one...and so will we! Love you!

I think that the hardest thing that I have overcome - is my fear to "let go and let God" It's a saying in the 12-step program that I belong to. I was raised with a vengeful, jealous, "strike you dead" God...
I have led a hard life and made really bad decisions that have hurt people. I was so scared of God that I ran the other way for many years.
Since I have been clean this last 2 and half years, I have discovered a loving God - and you represent Him here so beautifully, it brought tears to my eyes.

Amen!

The sharing of prayer to restore, comfort and reassure; a lifting up to Him, who is omnipresent and compassionate.

God's Blessing
