City Memories

City Memories

A Poem by Bent Dragon (Eric)
"

A poem about growing up in the city. How things change. Part of my two poem every so often series.

"

City Memories

Smog floats carried by a breeze

full of memories.

Happy times, happy smells.

Before this city became living h***.

to much clockwork, to much noise

not enough time for toys.

As time goes on nothing lasts .

Till the last of your memories are buried in the grass.

A tombstone to mark them like a grave

because your thoughts, your memories; not one could you save.
