Demonic Plague

Demonic Plague

A Poem by AaronFreitas
"

I honestly don't even know where this came from but when I wrote this is what came out.

"

I have an infatuation with demons

that inexplicably pluck innocent

thoughts from the mind and

replace them with pure evil.

If I can’t fight them off

I will find myself drowning

in a pool of blood and death

while slowly roasting in hell.

Where do we find strength

when all we know has already

turned its back on us and

left us to rot in a world full of hate?

We leave our lasting impression

by defining the strength we find

even if only momentarily to fight

and destroy what is our fate.

This is so of a fantasy form of poetry; some of the choice of words depicts mid-darkness and horror. Words like pure-evil, drowning in a pool of blood and death, roasting in hell, are threatening to the poet and knowing such predicaments are sure to come unless he defeated that which need to be fight off, haunts him. Many things are to be drawn from this piece of amazing write-up, but this I've for now. Thanks for sharing.... Bona!

The title for this was perfect and intriguing. The poem had amazing imaginary and feeling filled it. We can find ourselves having evil thought that could rise the demon in us at times of great stress or pain. This is a great piece on that. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent piece Aaron

It's great how the first two stanzas are rich in dark imagery while the last two in dark thoughts, creates quite an interesting contrast. Did notice the title being just right, perfect for this. About how you said it you don't even know where it all came from, was reminded of this thing I once read, 'writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.' Haha, and this short trip of yours Aaron was great. :)

I completely fell right into your first lines, that alone captured me. It's like we know the dark writes of Aaron but to word this the way you have? Speaks volumes.. I immediately felt shadows but at the same time felt ease.. because many hide the depths of anything too dark or out there but you put it out and even with that you find the light.. love this piece. great work friend.. :)

Well said, daily struggles and perishing should be the routine fate but evolving strengths should be fine permanent foot prints capable of touching future, humans are capable of finding real lights and materialistic mirage

I know the feeling :)
Hey Bro, this write somehow reminds me of Vegeta"
A character from DBZ who is pure evil but manages
To become a Super Saiyan, and eventually sided
On to the forces of Good... we all have that Hulk
Inside us,,that's easy, the hard part is to contain it..
Score one for the Dark Write! Thanks for sharing! :-)

I think this is very true. Quite interesting, I feel as if I've taken a journey into your mind Aaron. I want to say it's lovely, but that's probably the wrong descriptive term to use for this poem. :) I do love this though. Very thought provoking and realistic. Great job, keep writing!

haha I'll accept lovely lol... I am glad you enjoyed it Shea :) Always appreciate your reviews :)
I love the last stanza because it's so true. Our fate has become what can be described more closely to hell than heaven, and the mark we leave behind is the small fight we put up against it before it inevitably takes over. I love this with a passion. Hopefully I got the meaning right! Good job my friend! :)

Aaron, This is so deep and so disarmingly honest. It feels as if you wrote me a letter, and are now awaiting an answer. I know you've spoken to me after reviews telling me how this is how you really feel deep inside but hide it well in your everyday life. I can only tell you that you and I are in the same boat...maybe my situation is different because I have my wife to talk me down from the ledge? Just ride it out, Aaron...you seem to me like a great guy who just has some stuff to sort out. You're a good man, sir...please know that about yourself. take care...dan
