I do not see a fragile whimsy character but one of strength..... Hearty....Not a heron but a crow...loud and fierce!Precise in the need although most elegant in the nature of want. I read your words and think not to tread too deeply, but your thoughts overflow into welcome. I am enchanted but the beauty in your work.
i love this- i instantly was interested in reading because of the title- takes you on a journey of wanting more from life, beautifully written and such beauty mixed with pain- great work once again :) you are becoming one of my favorite writers!
Oh for a day without clocks.. But how would we know when the day had ended ? :) Maybe we would want it to last for ever as we 'lifted flight' above the meadows viewing all in a different perspective ...
Magical write
Thank you dear friend xx
This was just so refreshing Craig! In a life burdened with responsibilities and commitments you sometimes wish to take off like this heron in the abundance of space! Clocks do create some sort of constraint - something you are meant to abide by and I would happily love someplace that is free of these shackles!! You have woven the magic of the words once again!! Well done my friend!
I would love to live in a meadow with no clocks...as far as I believe, clocks control our lives, everything in life is based on a clock...work, school, time to wake up, and time to sleep...beautiful poem :)
I felt this part of the poem very deeply:
Tell me what life should feel like, surely not this ever-burdened fight, not this darkened screeching night....
It expresses something I feel, and is written so beautifully. I love the title, too, it calls up a life or a place with no pressures or expectations, just rest for the soul and happiness. Wonderful poem!
winged breath in angel visions
there are journeys with no footprints
feathered wings in life’s flight over meadows with no clocks
only the trafficked flitter of butterflies
Simply stunning imagery here, breath taking write, yet so poetic.
I really enjoyed thi piece.
We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, eng.. more..
