A GOLDEN THREAD

A GOLDEN THREAD

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

A golden thread with softest, strongest strands...

"

Thoughts in dreamish drifting cross days, weeks, months

Sighing moments of sweet significance laced in light

Feelings of vibrant joys, images of profound peace

Such living, awakening moments shared and savored

And you were there all along, woven into my world

Within each glimpse, glance, glimmer, one thread

Weaving throughout, connecting each contentment

A golden thread with softest, strongest strands

Pondering where this golden pathway may lead us

And clinging tightly to the hope in all it now unveils

You never fail to turn words into a magical journey.
I especially love the comparison here and the photo is haunting.
Beautiful sentiment with a sparkle for all.

Thank you for sharing x

There are such golden journeys... and I hope you find them often, sweet friend... :)
Really like the image of a path starting as a thread. Holding onto the smallest of things, pulling on that string to unravel a world worth finding.

Above lines are true for the most of us. Clinging to hope is all we have sometime. Thank you for the outstanding poetry. Always a pleasure to read your words.

"A golden thread with softest, strongest strands" ... wondering if the thread is a connection between two beings, or if it is one being with two connections...
This poem is simply amazing!

Lovely metaphor. Our thoughts are a part of one long thread, never evading us, for our ideas shall never die as long as we live...

my pleasure!
You always manage to write peaceful, soothing poems that make the reader take a gentle stroll through a fairy tale. I was drawn to this one by the beautiful picture and your words have filled me with a sense of calm and serenity. I like the way you introduce and develop the golden thread metaphor. I also like the fact that you kept it short and did not overdo it. A pleasure to read this, Craig!
