As Stones Melt Into Mist

As Stones Melt Into Mist

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

How I remember fearing darkness...

"

How I remember fearing darkness

Before you taught me its tranquility

For light blinds us from the soul

And noise distracts us from the spirit

It builds battlements to shroud us

And chains us to the earthen orb

You must know at night in your sleep

Your stone walls melt into mist

And I pass into the shadows of you

Finding one string, one single soul

I explore every space of you, of us

Knowing we are not simply a room

But a vast and free world within

And though it is still dark there

I know the sun will be coming

To kiss the night sky soon enough

To make her blush in scarlet hues

To carry you into the Forgetting Place

But you will sleep again and dream

As your stone walls melt into mist

Letting me pass, letting me dance

Into the music of your silences once more.

We always take flight into reaching new dimensions when the one close to our heart opens up new passages to allow us to see and feel things other than fear. Loved your dancing fingers through this piece. :D

When the other morphs into you and you feel what he/she feels, it is love that will last. How soft and gentle your words are. Velvety! When we are in the presence of someone we love deeply, the silences speak volumes. Wonderful work, Craig. Lydi**

Thank you, dear lynn! Sometimes the soul can find pathways the mind has tried to seal...
Beautiful poetry that speaks through heart. Loved all lines. So romantic. Gentle. Tranquil. soft. Touching. Melt-down. Lovely. Enjoyed reading it.
