Within the Weeping of Wings

Within the Weeping of Wings

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

There’s a crack in the universe

"

There’s a crack in the universe

A fracture in the fabric of time

And a hole in the strawberry sky

Sunrise rupture only we can heal

Wanting to see light and flames

Dripping from the horizon’s eye

To feel the burning of your wings

The blazing fire upon your back

Sense golden flowers, golden meadows

Thriving in the shine of golden life

And I glimpsed you there again

Upon that bed of scarlet suffering

As I stood by your side, cocoon shelter

As our wings wept in the anguish

Of finding and losing and wanting

So many countless ages searching

And here so close to our fulfillment

But there is a crack in the universe

A fracture in the fabric of time.

This is beautiful. I don't know what else I can say, it has a certain something to it that speaks to me. And that, I find beautiful

And I so deeply appreciate your kind review.
A smooth, flowing river of a poem. Enchanting I think is the word.

Oh dear Latifa! So grateful to have you come by again. You have been missed! :)
I found myself envisioning angels wounded in Celestial battle, one lying on the earth, his fallen brother at his side.
I found myself envisioning a man of intensity and passion wanting to feel life again after the death of his immortal beloved.
I envisioned a man in a crisis of faith or fortune or love.
Utterly beautiful.
And I am reminded of the leonard Cohen song "Anthem"
"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."

This is so beautiful and sad. I think this could be adapted to song lyrics. Maybe sometime we can collaborate. I could write guitar chords and sing melody for something like this and send you the recording to make suggestions on.

May we all be able to bring healing and peace to this world. Thank you, lynn, so very much! :)
Beautiful! The photo really lends a color to your words or maybe your words highlight the colors of the photo...? Either way, you created an ethereal experience.
You know I have to at least ask you to consider alternatives to "that bed"... 😏. The options are many...
Not to say this is the best advice, but I have found it very helpful in creating more powerful lines in u own work. Trying to never use the word "that" was one of the best writing tips I was ever given. IMO.
Try it, you might like it.
Be well.
