THERE IS WILDNESS IN ME

THERE IS WILDNESS IN ME

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

I was born under the glintering of a gray Cheshire moon...

"

I was born under the glintering of a gray Cheshire moon

On a January day, with bright echoes of the blue June

And in the lace of a meadow’s sweet saffron skirt

You would find me in untamed wilding dreams to flirt

No chains could hold my restless sun-stained skin

Ancient mariner in antique rhymes had raged within

I devoured bolts of light that dance on howls of thunder

In the fiercing fires of stars with sapphired rich plunder

Found Aladdin’s lamp in Seurat’s surreal brass painted feast

Riding into Xanadu with Kubla Khan’s power unleashed

Now listening to skies’ scarlet serenade being set free

I beat my primal chest, for there is wildness in me…

A wonderful piece of writing.
There is nothing to talk about except the beauty of this poem.
And the use of vocab is excellent.
You have expressed your feelings of being a writer beautifully, and showed us what does it mean to be a writer.
Looking forward to read your other writings.

I really like your poems.
There's something free in them. Powerful.
I mentioned this in my previous reviews, but so often poems here come from a place of hurt, pain and regret.

Your poems make me either smile or want to go outside and do something crazy.
And that's freaking awesome.

Your writing is impeccable as always, be it your skill or my lack of poetic understanding-- But I can't find a single fault in this. Once more I praise your font choice and the picture. You're splendid at creating an atmosphere without one word being read.

Good job.

I believe there is wildness is all of us, especially us writers. We have a way of expressing our wild sides in ways that normal people wouldn't understand. I love how that inner wild is able to make us writers so unique and common to one another. Each writer having a different heart & style that separates us from the rest...no two are the same. Beautifully done!
