I Remember Blue

I Remember Blue

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Before the colors of the world were tainted…

"

I remember blue

electric wilds of flight

before the colors of the world were tainted

breathing shades of blush

painting virulent days

days drifting

merging as raindrops into rivers

drops of simplicity

became oceans of complexity

complexity now

now in this moment

as you peer into my mind

sense in my soul who I am

make some sense of who I was

feel my heartbeat

as you rhythm read these letters

landscapes form

mindscapes of freshly fallen show

show a voice

a voice painted in recollections

mirrored reflections

and I still remember blue

somehow…

1st off I really love owls too...one of my favourite animals...secondly, I appreciate how thoughtful and meticulous youpare with each poem...the quotes in the author's notes always fit perfectly, as do the photos and paintings that you choose...
As for the poem, I really can't find a fault in it anywhere...it flows effortlessly, like a river of quicksilver...Very well done! :))

I like the way in which you worded your emotional thought through blue color, though the is not my favorite color. I also like your photos and its relation with this piece. Thanks for sharing. Keep writing.

You are more than welcome. I can see why.
Life grows more complex as it advances as tiny drops coalesce into bigger more complex ones...in it our quest to rediscover ourselves and the past tinted in a beautiful, primal blue...I really appreciate the association with the colour of the oceans where all life began. Stunning poetry Craig...
