Hold on...

Hold on...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Dedication to a dear friend who is going through a hard time...

"

Moments of silver winter shift around us now

And in this chill we stand dead still.

Running won't get us far enough I fear,

If I could change your world, I would.

Always there for you, whatever the season,

Hold on to my promise of spring...

A friend must feel like life is so impossible. And you give wonderful advice, "Running from your problems will never solve them!" I see how you are there and would bear the burden if you could. I love the comparison of emotions to seasons. How our emotions do change as quickly as the seasons. Wonderful write!

'Hold on...'
An Owl on the moon,
First of all the lavender blue color and font are delightful. A beautiful wish enclosed in hopefulness radiating from your heart to the needy heart of another gives this poem great meaning. It is so good to see that your good friend is not alone in pain but has another to care. Winter harshness and the image of not being able to move;
"And in this chill we stand dead still.
Running won't get us far enough I fear,"
Wishing the situation could be changed regardless of life season;
"Hold on to my promise of spring..."
Inspiring writing.
Blessings,
Kathy

This is such a sweet world of apologies for the ruthlessness and sin of life! The plea for incandescent hope for a better world of spring to come and make the world, a nicer, safer place for all of us...the sheer simplicity and music of the words is worth dying for!

Wow. This was touching and emotional! I actually just realised that the start of each line spells 'Mariah' this was a beautiful tribute to your friend, it was very emotional!
Well done sweet!

What a lovely sentiment expressed in this tiny perfection of a poem. I do imagine that you are that kind of person to stand by someone through thick and think - an all-season friend!

This is beautiful.. and so too is your empathy for a friend. You've written words that inspire and care and remember. You have the capacity to share two great gifts - one of friendship and the other the fine art of turning words into prayers.

Thank you for sharing your generous words.
