I am sky...

I am sky...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Passion of heaven and earth, for the fairest of them all...

"

I am sky

And you are earth...

Let my winds

Caress your face...

Let my warmth

Roll gently over

Your fragrant skin...

My rains

Fill your rivers

And nourish

All your life...

My voice is as thunder

And gentle as the

Song of birds...

And I would

Cover you,

Guard you,

Caress you,

Forever...

Another strong example of sensual imagery. A nice free verse. Although I dare ask... What's with you and elans? ;p My choice of verses, would be the rain and rivers. That is striking in metaphoric value... I hesitate to say just what peaks my liking of it. Anyhoo... In true Canadian form I give this one an "EH"!

'I am sky...'
An owl on the moon,
You have given the power of our worlds natural charms a place within a human beings love for another human being. I think we identify with the incredible mystery of the seasons, forests, sun rises, sunsets and etc etc. This above poem really gave an earthly beauty to a human love.
Blessings,
Kathy

Wow, this is beautiful~
The comparison of sky and earth to two lovers is one I've not yet thought of! And even more amazing because you presented it in such a lovely way~ When I first read the bit about rain and rivers, I thought it was "rains" and "veins" because my eyes were blurry due to lack of sleep, and I thought "Well, that's kind of a cheesy rhyme". But I went back, and I think from looking at it a second time with clear eyes, I enjoyed it much more. :3
And much like the sky is with the earth, so are you and your loved one.
What a beautiful poem, and a more beautiful message~

your words flow like a magic cascade into the deep recesses of the soul; reverberating with the fragrance and passion of a poetic lover to the core. So intense, so magical!! And the imagery is so much metaphrical, sensuous and ethereal!

A well written poem, metaphorically portrays the sensual beauty of nature. The flow and rythmn is good.

A very nicely done and interesting work. In Native American religion there is Mother Earth and Father Sky ... Sky the protector and guardian and Earth the nurturer and provider. Together they form a beautiful, interlocking relationship ... and I think you've captured a glimpse of that essence here.
