Sapphire blue

Sapphire blue

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

You are a pool so sapphire blue...

"

You are a pool so sapphire blue

Refreshing water, fresh and new

Your eyes, a deeply crystal hue…

In your azure beauty I’m undone

Your smile is like the rising sun

A sheltering current just begun…

Let my enchanted life begin

Let me come and drown within

Your soft and sacred skin...

I don't know about anyone else here but if I ever had a greeting card with this printed in it I'd think I was in Heaven. I love how much passion it holds in such a simple arrangement. Makes me think of the Nestea ads where the people plunge into that cool blue pool, only here on a much more personal and grand scale!
"come and drown within your soft and sacred skin" is Casanova territory! SWEET!

Ireally likedthis craig. it's quite beatiful. and i must give you mad props for creating a rhyming poem that totally doesn't suck a*s. crude humor out of the way, the piece is poignant and sweet, with some really stunning imagery. the first lines are some of the best poetry I've read in a while.

great work man!

I loved the rhyme scheme in this. I've been meaning to write a poem in this form, and I'm in awe of yours. The comparison of this person to a sapphire blue pool is beautiful and breath-taking. Great job with this!
