I didn't...

I didn't...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

The ache of waking up and not feeling you near...

"

I didn’t feel you

skin so soft and warm

nails drifting down my back…

I didn’t hear your voice

softest music to my ears

awakening my sleeping eyes…

I didn’t taste your lips

candy-coated miracles

stirring me to life…

I didn’t feel your presence

called to you in whispers

but you weren’t here…

Nails raking down your back? OhhLaLa!! This is sexy, sensuous, loving, all of those wonderful things being in love bestows upon us. Nicely done here.. (trying to shake the nails down the back..LOL). Love this piece.

Again, a great love poem told simply but deeply.

Simply put, but carries so much emotion to it. As someone reviewed on here: "Ouch."

I didn't taste your lips
candy-coated miracles
stirring me to life

Bitter sweet poetry at its best. I like this one as lonely as it may be.

Ouch. Beautiful, but ouch.

You have woven so much pain into this piece with only the suggestion of lonliness. Last stanza, perfect.

You're beautiful, Craig Froman :) I love this!!

i really liked this. its something that i feel sometimes not because the someone i loved left but just causehe doesn't live with me and these are things that i think of when i feel this way. its a sad feeling and its unfair that anyone would have to experience something so small but yet so significant.

Such a sad emotion conveyed in this poem! It hurts to even read it. Pain often make the most powerful words...

Is he regretting her loss, or is he merely fantasizing about a she that was never actually there?
A very thought-provoking poem, beautifully crafted
