Standing on my head in stinging nettles...

Standing on my head in stinging nettles...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

A rather silly song inspired by a friend and based on my life (though I have never actually stood on my head in nettles). :D

"

Standing on my head in stinging nettles
Oh, wishing that I had a helmet on
Dancing over fire in my Speedo
Wanting for a greeny grassy lawn…

How problems tend to find me by the dozen
They claw and scratch and pillage at my eyes
And I tend to grab and seize them with a hunger
Like a buffet of choice burgers and hot fries…

But I shall ever come out like a winner
laugh and sing and dance when at the ends
for my secret is no secret to the nettles
why, I have the truest bluest bestest friends!

OOOOOOOOH I love it, you clever man.. you've turned words into so many smiles and I can't believe how well you've kept your meter . There's quite a metaphorical ring to it too... and that's great, displays your skill with writing poetry.

'My eyes' rhyming with 'french fries' -- that really made me laugh

Maybe more friends should challenge each other with titles or whatever, it would be great fun! HOWEVER, you'dl probably be crowded king!

Must away to relax now and feel so uplifted and relaxed by this after a very long, hot day... thanks Craig.

Ha, I loved it. Wow, I could have sworn I already reviewed this...like a year ago...but OK then. And I don't think Speedo trademarks are going to cause any issues.

Anyone who would even THINK about wearing Speedo's [TM] near a patch of stinging nettles is crazy enough to deserve attention! Nasty little plants- and perfect metaphors for the troubles that creep up whether we like them to or not. A fun read- congrats on the win!

Shel Silverstein and Dr. Suess move over, Craig Froman has arrived. lol I believe you could give both these poetic geniuses some competition.
