In You are Meadows...

In you are meadows

green and lush

of scented wildflowers

and life’s awaking.

I feast on

rich berries

ripe

dripping

within the fragrance

of your extravagant

apricot and honey.

My skin

like a brook

moves over

your smooth stones

swaying curves.

I feel your lithe ripples

on wild heath

passion’s paths

while licking

your crimson echoes.

I give you

my mountains

to surround you

shelter you.

Feel the

steady rain

of my fingers

stroking your fields.

Hear the echoes

of my moaning

thunderstorms

calling your name

in winter whispers

and screaming summer.

Painted autumn blush

across your paths

and spring scents

fill our garden bed.

In you are meadows.

What a stunning analogy. Craig, your love poems are romantic, sensual and passionate to the tenth power. I'm trying to find a favorite line or phrase, but I'm finding it difficult, for every single line whispers unto itself while complimenting the next. I like the juxtaposition of winter whispers and screaming summers which suggest that love affairs are both quietly intimate yet lustfully passionate as well.... the bottom line being that we love like this when it is true to the heart, soul and mind.

I feel your little ripples...I feast on rich berries...I give you my mountains...Feel the steady rain of my fingers...Painted auntumn blush.... all so very wonderful!

The narrator loves totally, completely and unconditionally as he hears her yearnings, submits to her passion...cleaves on to her flesh and...her mind. Indeed you create a garden bed filled with the most precious of gifts.

Conclusion is perfect...perfect...perfect. 'In you are meadows."....

ps. Oh, how I would love to be in that graphic! It's gorgeous.

Whoaa Craig! OMG, this is amazing! What a gorgeous romp through nature's sensuality you have just spun me into. Beautifully crafted as only one as talented as you can do. So many superb stanzas with beautiful imagery of lusciousness and deliciousness. I'm just blown away by this!

i loved this.
favorite line-
"i give you

i feel i can tell what this poem is alluding to but its put in a way that puts something that can be raw and harsh into a soft and loving light.

What a beautiful description. Even though it did not speak of its actual meaning, it still had this hidden beauty to it. Thank you for participating in my contest =]

This is really stunning. Its sweet and sensual and very visual. I liked the line:

My skin
like a brook

swaying curves.

I think that adds a real feel of movement to this piece. Really beutiful job.

The phrase "in you are meadows" at first threw me until I read it several times and then I was like, ahhh.......

Such a lovely picture you painted here, my poet brother.
