AN ODE TO HER POETIC TOUCHA Poem by Craig FromanYou are my poetry…
"And your very flesh shall be a great poem..." ~ Walt Whitman We form a villanelle Two rhymes, in you I dwell… Alliteration on my lips… Creating liquid lines Dripping meter in rich designs Poetic honey sensuality… Your Haiku hands A 5-7-5 rhythm we understand Couplets of pressing forms… A stanza in your arms Laughing in your limerick charms Quatrain nights of bliss… Read no lyric sweeter Dancing in iambic-pentameter Free verse over me… My fingers reach For your sonnet skin of peach Your lullaby-lyric lips… My words a rune Uttered in a prose blue moon An epic to your beauty… And in your eyes I listen for unwritten sighs You are my poetry… © 2010 Craig FromanReviews
