SPEAK WITH ME

SPEAK WITH ME

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Teach me how to love you deeply… I want to… in every way… and I make this promise to you… I will.

Speak with me

Let me dance in the lucid waves of your thoughts

Understanding your deepest places

You have dreams, fears, desires, interests, and aspirations

Speak them to me… I will breathe mine into you as well…

Sit by me

May silence sing over us like autumn winds

Recognizing your sweet presence

We need the scent of each other to fill us and define us

Sit here beside me and be with me… just be with me…

Share with me

Give me gifts of chocolate covered smiles

Knowing your loving expressions

I’ll learn your loves as well, to give to you just because

Share with me those small joys that mean so much…

Serve by me

Our hands together making light work

Realizing we were meant to be us

I commit my hands and my back to help carry your load

Serve my needs and let me serve you every day…

Stroke me gently

Weave your fingers in mine like a French tapestry

Appreciating how our heat melts us into one

Sensuality fires passion, you always will be my one obsession

Stroke my skin, and let me learn to please you in every way…

Author's Note

An owl on the moon
Inspired by the book “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. He lists these as Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. Each of us needs these in a relationship (given and received), though everyone uniquely requires a differing mix in order to feel most loved and accepted…

There was a time, long ago, that all five of these things
were found... then lost. Or, thrown away.
Each of these 5 things are expressed beautifully and I
felt the sensation of a tear well up... are these things
really possible? Can a man really love a woman like this
visa versa? I used to believe this to be true. Now, I find
that life is simply too cruel and at this age, it's simply
too late. Nothing is as it should be, nor ever shall be...
YET, this poem bleeds Hope!! Love it :)

The definition of what love can and should be! These are concepts to be revisited throughout the years of a relationship. Beautiful thoughts & expression as always.

This piece of work has been beautifully written and with such lovely metaphors! The emotion projected here is also very raw and the feeling of desire is juxtaposed here very well. Keep up the good work! ;)

Amazing. I was just about to say that this shows in depth what we need to be for each other. Not usually short on words here, but this poem has made me think and recommit to doing my very best for my 22 yr. marriage. Thank you. Very fresh writing by the way. It is good to see writing that doesn't mimic another's.

this is one of the best i have ever read! The passion, truth, reality and love spoken in it is just so real and meaningful. I love the words you choose like: "you will always be my one obsession". This is so beautifully written, and I especially love the metaphor "like french tapestry", it makes the love so real.
I enjoyed reading this so much! Amazing work! The person you're speaking about is really lucky to have someone who appreciates them like this.

I think that I have read that book..If I haven't read it, I have seen him on tv on some program talking about this..Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Acts of Service then receiving gifts in that order for me..I think that he has people to put them in some kind of order...All are not of the same importance to each person..You have written the gifts in a unique way..Gifts of smiles and loving expressions..This is a wonderful interpertation of this man's ideas of how to have a great relationship..I am glad that I chose this one to read this afternoon..The lucky woman that you apply these techniques with is truly blessed..

I swear I'm speechless.. and that's odd that i'm speechless coz i do always find words to say... I really keep pondering about what to say and what not but I couldn't find a word XD. This was outstanding and breathtaking and make love to be in love thought i'm not yet. Special words you use it there make the poet from beginning to end an excellent piece of perfection... Perfect creation :) I remember that i said in one of my reviews on your poems, that your poetry have to be added to a book named : The holy creation and i'll be the first and best fan of this book.... and now, I'm extremely certain from my words.
This one's excellent and i wish i'll be able to read this book someday... :) thnx for sharing your awe-inspiring poems :)

yes, I too wonder if two can love each other like this. Sometimes I think it has gone the way of the world.
But I do believe it is never toooooooo late.
Great poem
Just love the last to lines:
Sensuality fires passion, you always will be my one obsession
Stroke my skin, and let me learn to please you in every way…
