THE EDGE OF HAPPY

THE EDGE OF HAPPY

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

I think I can see it from here... :)

"

On a marble ledge gazing down

Gray cold edge; indigo loneliness

A glass of All-Irish Black and Tan

Taking sips rich and dark as night

I hear a soft golden voice within

Feel the kiss of a scented breeze

Turn to see your smile light the room

I feel colored in carnival electric

Do you see me standing here?

Not breathing as I steal glimpses

Heart coming alive in your tone

Your laugh, what a brilliant caffeine

On the sunrise edge of happy now

At least I can finally see it from here

It’s resting across the room in your eyes

Please just look my way forever...

Please…

I enjoyed this one...It expresses what most have learned that we need that special person in our lives to become whole...I am glad that I chose this one to read this a.m....I read a little about you..So many creative people have a tendency to suffer from some form of depression...It seems that the Melancoly personality has the gift of creativity..Which can be expressed in so many different ways...I am glad that you enjoyed my write about his favorite flower...I had fun wrting that one..Sunflower..

I wish people could share the emotions they feel for their loved ones WITH their loved ones like this. It's such a shame we are stunted verbally when it comes to the moments that matter.

you define your muse by such desriptions as "indigo" breeze" eyes" brilliant"
here and in previous works of read from you. this poem captures a
chandelier and the soft light and wow, what a personalied image that
the reader can't help but feel th night and it's magic, and subtle glances,

the reader gets a sweet face of a beautiful wman whose eyes
stop the heart each time she blinks, wonderful job here great,
the anticipation toward the ending end with a sense of climax, brilliant.

Beautiful phrasing as always Craig. This touched me deeply and with the resonance of pleading it becomes so very real...tangible and gripping.
You are the romantic my dear and no one can take that from you...
Just stunning, I love always reading your work :-)

How refreshing! A man in touch with his emotions and not afraid of them.
A lovely look at longing.
