On drum beat time

On drum beat time

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Played to the beat of distant drums...

"

Dancing death has shown its face

Resting in a dreamless place

Under skies of golden hue

Meandering meadows of crystal dew…

My coriander eyes have seen

A vision vast in fields of green

Janus opens wide the door

On teeming life in yonder moor…

Rid the world of sorrow's face

Playing odes to a rhythm pace

On drum beat time of greening grace

Dancing death has left this place…

It does have a nice rhythm and speaks of Spring to me... a new beginning maybe.
Beautiful as always Craig.

Speaking of drum beats the poem had a nice rhythm... "you can't live until you die" are words from a song and they ring true... you can't appreciate what is in front of you till you know what the other side is like.

My coriander eyes have seen

A vision vast in fields of green

Janus opens wide the door

On teeming life in yonder moor…

very nicely done.

Such an amazing write you have written here.
Amazing imagery as well. I like this and sense
some truth in this as well. Nicely written Craig.

Thank God Dancing death left. It's a poem about NDE's , about people who have felt life slipping away like sand from their hands..and yet have miraculously managed to fight back and salvage life..Life's way better definitely. A wonderful exercise of philosophy I absolutely love to discuss..About your poetic sense, I won't comment because everybody already knows how good you are..Great concept, again..

Dancing death has shown its face, then dancing death has left this place: Outstanding view of life and death and the firm stand to live. Great job here, great flow and rhyme!

2024 is here... May we make it so much more heaven than hell... Wishing all peace on earth... Together, maybe we go the distance... The night has a thousand eyes, And the day but one; Yet t.. more..
