On Chrysalis Day, Oh Chrysalis Day!

On Chrysalis Day, Oh Chrysalis Day!

On Chrysalis Day, tra-loo tra-lay

Glimbly the waves do prance and play…

Darkling clouds of nightling’s fray

Bawling and shredding all flee away…

Your goldish summering robes parlait

And birthing shed the gloomering sways…

What marvelous minced delectable puree

Dippishly devouring the world w’out delay…

Simmering soakling lips a tad risqué

With the sounding song as a glib attaché …

Shinishly shimmers your bright soiree

Like a rainblown-bright butterfly bouquet…

All colors of a swishering clad Monet

A bounteous boomering numbly buffet …

Lovishly now you shall fly off and away

On Chrysalis Day, Oh Chrysalis Day!

The rhyme scheme flows nicely, but this is a little more childish than your other work. This is cute, it's passionate, but it's also a bit out of place with your other work. But still, superb job.

What a cheerful ode to Lewis Caroll, I do say! I'm off to join in on the celebration of Chrysalis Day!

have never before heard of a Chrysalis day, and there should certainly be one! Where would we be without all the lovely butterflies? Your words fit the picture perfectly! What a unique poem, it makes me want to dance among the colorful swaying flowers!

I absolutely loved reading this, beginning to end and back again once after. I was also thoroughly impressed by the continuous end rhyme. Furthermore, I would like to applaud the simply astounding imagery you have created, and say that I was left with the impression of a song as such one might see on a Sunday stroll through Wonderland. Bravo.

I loved this, I just got done reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and this reminded me of the songs from that book. The picture is hilarious and in my mind I could see a bunch of grungy men sitting around a table with goblets of mead singing about Chrysalis Day. Thanks for the great read!

This poem has a refreshingly playful tone to it. You successfully send glad tiding to anyone experiencing melancholy. The way you constructed your rhyme reminded me of Robert Herrick; it was not sing-song, it perfectly conveyed the music of the situation. Specifically Corinna's Going A-maying.
