C H A S I N G *** LANDSCAPES

A Poem by Craig Froman
"

Making me believe that she’s more...

"

While dreams chase landscapes

Elusive across rickety bridges

And the fabric of her curved lines

She has October in her eyes

Hair laced golden on shadows

Skin soft as silken daffodil wings

How I taste the sapphire on her lips

What is the wilding world to me?

Do I slip it on like constricted shoes?

Or do I dance raindrop barefoot?

She giggles her warm laughtering trill

Magnificent music she plays over space

Making me believe that she’s more

Than light lit letters on a leafed page.

You are one of my favorite writers on this site. Your word choices are works of art. This one reminded me of the many times the book i am reading becomes an entirely different universe that I am observing, and how easy it would seem at times to drop right in and be a part of that fantastical place.

Passions larger than the far reaches of imagination are displayed here in the loveliest harmony. You describe romance with such esoteric grace that it takes my breath away. Truly a spell-binding journey into the star strewn spirit of love and adoration, your ideals are magnificent and you convey them with such a delicate hand. I always love how visual your work is, how it ignites all the senses with its powerful prose and imagery. Another flawless write, dear friend.
