A Poem by Charles D. Moorer

Untitled 4:

James Rodney Moorer

She is the anchor that kept both the rock and the rooster

in place.  That rock didn't get swept away by current and the

rooster didn't get too big for the barnyard.

And they were mindful of Vene  girl, never failed her or us.

Rocks succumb to time, as do roosters.

As for anchors, they rust and the flakes are left to drift and

root again.
