Mother, Farewell

Written by: C. Lee Battaglia

Mother, farewell

I’m leaving today

I know it might be hard

But no matter what,

I’ll be here

In your heart

I’ll miss you more and more

Everyday

But mother, don’t be sad

Because now I’m happy

Mama you could of made everything better

But I couldn’t do the same

Now is your chance

To do the things you’ve

always wanted to do

Go see the world

Spain, France, Italy,

England, Germany, Russia,

Don’t be sad,

Because I’m in a better place

Mother, Farewell

I’ll see you in another place.

You are welcome my friend.
We are only loaned to eachother for a certain amount of time - nobody belongs to anybody- there comes a day where we need to say farewell but yes in the heart we stay forever- lovely words - meaningful and deep🌹

Ok.....this took a dark turn for me. I can't figure out whether you had meant to make that turn, but it was a serious "whoa!" moment for me. So sad, but so powerful and profound. WOW! I think this is one of your best. This is a keeper. Well done!
