Wolf Cries

Wolf Cries

A Poem by Chelsea
"

A wolf cries, joined by a chorus of the pack!

"

Wolf Cries

A wolf cries

It sends crawling shivers up my spine

I spot you, glowering atop a hill

Snout silhouetted against the radiant moon

Oblivious, to the fact, I am,

That you’re flanked by a pack of wolves

Rows of snouts silhouetted against the beaming moon

You cry out in unison

Breaking the dead silence of the night

Author's Note

Chelsea
I <3 wolves, so decided to do a quick poem in honour of the beautiful creatures! Nothing is better than listening to the untamed sound of a wolf's howl! Please review!
Also not my picture, found off Google, it's a beauty though!

Slightly eerie, although more detail about the visual aspects of this scene might have added to the atmosphere? Anyway, wolves have often been associated with the night, evil and strength. Indeed, this raises the question of whether wolves should actually be feared? Personally, I hold the view that these grand creatures of the wild - should always be respected and protected!

Their singing heightens awareness and shivers the skin. Beautifully captured, like a word painting :o)
